seeing this from a programmers perspective

i found it clever that you used the broken ear peace as an excuse for him to able to hack it. i admit it that was pretty clever.

personally i found this episode rather boring. nothing much happened.
the only thing that really bothered me was that in the scene where Alpha was trying to get into the battle grid, the game told him that that grid was hacked and he cannot enter...

if i where to make a game such as TOME and it had the ability to sense if a place was hacked or not. i would pretty much make so the server kicked him out of the game automatically for a while so an admin like me could see in the server's debug log what he did.
i know that it was made to make things more intense. but common.
hackers are known for entering in the system and leaving again without anyone noticing them.

what could be a good idea for the show was to not tell the viewer who the hackers are. or at least give them the ability to change character form. if i was a hacker i would not show up in the same game with the same shape, form or profile name. (because if it was a real online game Rockoon would be banned from the game the same day as he created his profile).

and a last thing.
that purple player doesn't seem to have any kind of weakness or anything what so ever. i know that he is suppose to be a mysterious character and all but it looks like he has all the available abilities in the game. maybe make an episode where something is bothering him that makes him unable to fight a certain hacker or something. at least add some character development to that purple dude.

Thanks!

I actually agree on the note about the "Warning: This Battle Grid has been hacked". It was suggested to me by another staffer on the show that it should've been changed to "corrupted", however since I was focusing so much on finishing the episode before May was out, I didn't give myself enough time to go back and change it. Maybe I can try fixing that for the YouTube version. I can't defend myself too much about Rockoon not disguising himself, since that was more from a writing perspective of wanting to bring him back again and make funny material rather than worry too much about the logic of him being found out. As for Gamecrazed, I was hoping it'd come across that he went through some development in this episode, but I'm sorry to hear you think he's a bit overpowered; I understand your opinion nonetheless.

i was expecting captain useless to be... well.. useless. not actually saving the mayor. that kinda defeats the purpose of calling him useless.

you where not kidding when you said Eddsworld inspired you. the drawing and animation style was pretty close to Edd's.
but the movie does not bring anything new to the table. most people who have tried to do animations have tried to make some sort of walk cycle test.

Haha, yeah, Its only my first try, but don't worry I am going to obviously improve as I keep going with this.

i have seen the other episodes of TOME. but there is one problem in the series so far.
THE HACKERS DO NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE.
the characters do not act like hackers either. saying that they are a hacker does not make them hacker. they all act like those 13 year old hacker wannabes that claim that they can hack but doesn't even know basic programming other than small lines like "print".

i believe that it would improve the series a little more if you could make the "hackers" act more like hackers.

i make 3D... i guess
